I took 2 days off last week (July 12 and 13), and got my son for the entire 4 days. It was nice to have him with me. The first night, we merely watched a movie at home. Friday, I took everyone to the local Mexican Restaurant. Afterwards, I took my son and my nephew to see Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. It was okay. I never read the books, so I cannot compare one to the other. I enjoyed the movie. On Saturday, my stepmother, my nephew, my stepbrother’s wife and their two kids, plus my sister, my son, and I went to Markum Beach at Rend Lake for 4 hours. The weather was great and the beach was not too crowded. Funny thing though, despite my dark tan from 3 months of going to the tanning salon, I managed to get two tan lines from the straps of my bathing suit… ugh. I have no idea how I will manage to rid myself of them. Sunday was a light day.
Luis gave me a disk full of pictures that are of Angel. I am truly thinking of opening a gallery section on my site as people I graduated with as well as long time online friends have continuously asked about seeing new pics of him.
I worked on the Veteranscaucus.org web design project throughout the past week and another for a car wash/ detailing business.
I did re-open Cinnamon Gum Awards for July’s voting session as previously promised in my last blog. Rouged, I updated over half of the submissions for new members. I did contemplate taking on an admin as a few suggested, but I think a regular moderator would be best. I am also looking for a particular moderator willing to take on improving the code for the website as well… this might prove to eventually be a co-administrator position depending on the progress. I did get a suggestion to hire someone, but why should I hire someone to help run a free site anyway when it is for fun? That defeats the purpose of what an site based on free entertainment is. It pretty much sits on a .org which is a not for profit site anyway.
I will be opening the review section on Blondish.net soon. Every so often I do get a comment about the footer being strange on this site. By chance, if someone sees this and has the time, check it out and see if you might be able to come up with a suggestion to fix it. I have been on more than 7 different computers with different browsers and resolutions, but have yet to see the problem. I am feeling like I got hit with the blind stick.
